THE TARGET + BRAND
Target Audience
Messaging on the BWS website, social media channels, and across all digital and traditional media will position BWS as a credible financial source for Black people at every stage of wealth development:
- From the recent college grad who is just setting out on their wealth journey and is faced with paying down school loans and buying that first stock
- To the mid-career professional who owns their home and concurrently balances the demands of pulling multiple children through college
- To the 55+ demographic that is 10 years from retirement and looking for a strategy that will enable them to sprint to the finish.
In other words, BWS will focus on the segment of the Black population that understands building wealth is essential and has a thirst for knowledge presented through a colorized prism that they can relate to.
The BWS target audience is the Black community. Household income of $35K to over $200K, with an average being $80K.
Brand Evaluation
BWS is a nascent brand, and our team is taking a quantitative approach from inception. Google analytic tracking will measure website traffic. Inquiry forms will enable communication based on interest. Contact forms will build a segmented audience and ensure optimal engagement. Paid ads and organic posts will disseminate curated information supplied by a carefully selected group of financial partners.
Social Footprint
We are evaluating 4 leading marketing and public relations firms with a track record, following and experience marketing and engaging our target audience. Our selected marketing and public relations partner will assist us with building awareness and engagement for the event.

Black Wealth Creation and Entrepreneurship is the primary focus of BWS and its target audience. The BWS summit will bring together a target audience for sponsors to engage with for the purpose of discussing matters that algin with your commitment to entrepreneurship, enhancing financial literacy, exposing attendees to wealth advisors and generate leads that to enhance pipeline for your company
The BWS summit is designed to directly address contributing to close the racial wealth gap. Other conferences and organization’s focus primarily on career development, politics, entertainment, and social matters, therefore making your objectives secondary.

Participant Goal: 500 attendees (Virtual)
Premier Partnerships: Financial Services Industry, Allies and Kindred Sponsorships to sustain a shared purpose of closing the racial wealth gap.
Measurement + KPIs
Over the next 12 months BWS will focus on achieving the following goals:
- Social Media: Reach a minimum of 500,000 people via Facebook and Instagram
- Email: Grow the BWS email database to 10,000 contacts
- The Conference: Secure at least 500 Virtual and In-Person attendees at the inaugural event
- Social Footprint: Establish BWS as a credible voice on both Facebook and Instagram
- Education: Host 4 – 6 Virtual webinars on Various Financial Topics
MARKETING
What support is needed from your marketing team?
The BWS could benefit from your PR and marketing capabilities in social media, celebrity engagement and email awareness campaigns to inform and engage their community of Black customers about the BWS event.
Will you need Social Media?
We would appreciate coordinating with our social media team for social media postings and videos before, during and after the event. We believe that combining social media efforts will benefit both parties and improve upon our mutual success.
